Is there a proper name for the 3 asterisks that are used to suggest temporal discontinuity?
For example, when some long prose passage ends, this appears: \\* \\* \\*Then some new prose passage begins. The three asterisks dividing the two prose sections are understood to divide the two sections into non-continuous temporal spaces.I am interested in knowing if there is a specific name to describe symbolic or graphical markings that are meant to suggest temporal discontinuity?
