That's an interesting hypothesis - however, I am not aware of any evidence that this is the case. Importantly, there can be a lot of difference between cellular access to energy, like ATP, and the perception of "energy" or liveliness. a cell can never have "too much ATP”. As an individual with ADHD and who has done a lot of research on it the burst of energy is from the reward centers in out b.rain constantly seeking the dopamine we lack in. Being a leading cause of why many people with ADHD lack impulse control to give our brain what it wants brain. In a way our brain is always seeking to do something that keeps us busy because our brains our moving so fast that people talking at a normal pace feels like slow motion to us.
