Well, let's think about this. We all operate within a philosophy or multiple philosophies. Our actions often explain what philosophy we operate from. For instance, a nun who does good deeds for the church follows an altruistic philosophy, or a philosophy that the greatest good is what should be acted upon rather than the wants and needs of the individual. So, if the friar is a beggar and a crooked man, what can you deduce from his actions? What philosophy does he use to justify his actions?
