Learning is the key to success
Hey there!
a lot of white Europeans came to the southern United States during the colonial era to plant crops such as tobacco and sugar cane. Virginia and the Carolinas were primarily tobacco colonies, but South Carolina and parts of Georgia also had sugar cane. Georgia was set up as a sort of buffer zone for the Spanish colony of Florida, as a means to add a sense of separation and safety for the English colonies. Georgia was more of a militant colony, so a lot of soldiers and commanders from the English army and militias ended up there.
Hope this helped!
