Pre-Hilalian Hilalian dialects comparaison?

What are the main differences between Pre-Hilalian Tunisian dialects ( or any other Maghrebi dialects ) and the Hilalian ones ( Pronunciation , vocabulary ... ) . Let’s take the dialect I speak as an exemple : The /q/ is maintained , “Enti” (you) is used for both male and female , interdentals are maintained , no diphthongs ( “lil” for night , although my grandma , whose from Bizerte , says “leyl” with the diphthongs maintained) , there are many worlds of latin origin : kayyes ( trig/triq in other dialects , from the latin word callis ) , qattus ( cat ) , kurda ( rope ) , karrusa ( carriage from latin carrus ) , kalsita ( sock from latin calcia ) ...

One thing you need to understand is Magherbi dialects like Moroccan dialect is a mix of french, Spanish and mainly Berber. The Berber language has influenced Moroccan dialect that it is almost possible to consider a non Arabic dialect.

Just for your information Jamal: it's called Tamazight not Berber. Berber is an offensive word to native people of north of Africa. They speak Tamazight and we refer to them as imazighen which means free people or Amazigh which means Free man. In response to dialect, I do believe that dialect "darija in morocco" in north of Africa is a combination of languages of people who lived there over years and of course it was a hot spot in the past due to its closeness to Europe (before America continent was discovered). Also, Morocco had the first university in the world and most Europeans went to morocco to study and therefore cultures were mixed and people added new words to their dialects to make communication easier for them. marriage between nations probably took place as well between native people of Africa and Europeans. If you are interested you should dig into this by reading some historian books and linguistics. It's an interesting topic that requires deep research.
