The best way to understand vocabulary is to look up the words and then read sentences containing the words. It looks like these words are taken from a passage of writing. First I would look up the words and then use the sentences to get what we call "context clues" to help understand the meaning. The words you have here are not complex concepts and are mostly nouns and verbs. I highly recommend using Google Translate to help you as well.
If you need help with building vocabulary, I, and many other tutors here in Wyzant can help you. The BEST way to learn and understand vocabulary is to READ, READ, READ... listen, look up words, isolate a few words at a time and really focus on learning those and then add a few more and so forth.
When I work with a student, I have the student read the passage out loud or, if they are a beginner, I will read it and have them repeat so we can also work on pronunciation. Then we discuss the words and meanings the student does not understand and I explain deeper meanings as well as other ways in which a particular vocabulary word may also be used in another context. Understanding the more nuanced meanings of passages is very interesting to me and I love to help others learn this skill of complex processing. Most literature is like this where there is a deeper, implied meaning. Academic works may or may not have these layers of meaning and are more factual and direct, but academic writing can also have a variety of meanings imbedded in the passage.
These reading skills are taught in the Toefl Test Prep skills of the Reading Section and are excellent skills for anyone to learn. I'd love to help you! Best of luck, Teacher Adgie D.
