There's a reason for the old saying "Don't judge a book by its cover." Suppose you pass two people on the street, one of which is impeccably dressed and the other in dirty and wrinkled clothing. You might make the assumption the former is a reputable person and the other a bum, when the reality is the first is a career criminal who got cleaned up because he's headed to court and the other is headed home after spending their day off building houses for the homeless.
