Great writing is not born, it's LEARNED - I'll teach you how!
Hello there,
Argumentative or persuasive argument essays are often very enjoyable to write. They often help you think about interesting topics you would not, usually, think about...like this one!
My first suggestion, for any argumentative essay, is to RESEARCH and Google the question or subject. You will, immediately, get things to think about. In this case, the question regarding "the animals" made me stop and wonder. By Googling, the answer became clear: plastic bags from a store or market will often become "land fill" and are dangeroud for animals to eat or get TANGLED UP! I would never have thought of that on my own. Did you?? And you go on from there.
Remember, in an argumentative essay, you must know and be prepared for the OPPOSING argument. You would have to reserach that one, too, and be able to answer the other side of the argument. For example, reusable bags can have bacteria that builds up from carrying so many different items. Who would have guessed that? The key is to find all the answers, pro and con, decide which one is stronger and go through the arguments, one at a time (pro and con) and then write your conclusion. Choose a side and win the argument!
