Graph the function f(x)=2^x. Then graph g(x)=3(2)^x.

How are the y-intercept, domain, and range affected by the transformation.

I'm asking how are the y-intercept, domain, and range affected by the transformation.

The range is not affected at all because of the nature of an exponential function.

Range of exponential function is always  (0, ∞).  This is because if you decrease x, the y values get closer to zero.  As x increase, the y values increase infinity.

As for domain, it changes because of the vertical stretch factor.  The domain decreases.

The y-intercept of g(x) is 2 more than the y-intercept of f(x).

So, would the domain still be all real numbers? And would the range be y>0? And its a vertical shrink by a factor of 2? Sorry im really not understanding how to identify the changes, but those are the answers I got. Is my answer right or wrong?

I also said that the y-intercept is shifted 2 up.
