century" This quote is talking about their ancestor that had the original land that everyone has lived on. Because the man owned slaves and lived in the South where it was a way of life/making money, he would believe that justice was they kept living that way of life regardless of slavery itself being right or wrong.

Boo was locked in the courthouse basement" Boo Radley was a white child and was accused of harming his parents, but the sheriff thought it was too harsh a punishment if he was put together with black people.
