what would be a good thesis statement?

What parent-child relationships lead to better independence for the child as they get older?

 

would this be a good one? this is my topic but wouldnt it be a good statement also?

A thesis statement is generally not phrased as a question.  Perhaps merely change the word "What" to "Some" or "There are"
 
There are some parent-child relationships which lead to better independence for the child as they get older.
