Hi Elie,
The paragraph you have copied and pasted here is making the point that Jerusalem existed as a city existed as far back as 3000 BC. It doesn't relate to your question about "how the Israelites got to Jerusalem".
Now, I suspect your question is asking about the "Exodus" of the Jews from Egypt to Canaan. According to the Bible they entered Canaan at the end of their exodus, but didn't get to Jerusalem until some time later. So, I'm not really sure if that's what your question is asking about.
If I'm right (that this is asking about the Exodus), there are several different theories about the route taken, and many scholars don't even consider it valid history. If this is a question from a textbook, go back and look at what it says.
If you want to find information about this, you could read the Bible text itself. Honestly, it would take some time. Read Exodus, Numbers, and the beginning of Joshua. If you want summaries, SparkNotes (under Literature; Bible-Old Testament; Exodus, etc.) is a good place to go. The Wikipedia article on "The Exodus" has good information. I personally stick to the historicity of the Bible, and the article does not, but it does include a map showing the traditional route.
I hope this helps. If not, let me know.
