asked 02/13/25green screen cinema blender
heeey.
I would like to learn something about blender. I'm a filmmaker, and my goal is to film myself on a green screen and put myself in a 3d scene (I dont wanna create a scene, I just use a scene previously created, download the internet, you know.)
I need to try to use the correct light and make it real! Hit me up; I would love to learn with a nice and patient tutor.

I can help you out with that...check out my LinkedIn profile for some examples of my green screen work on one of my vlog series, IT Surfwatch.
Truth is - it's super easy. YOU have to be very well lit (usually requires at least two separate light so you don't create shadows in your face and neck) and then you have to light the wall behind you to eliminate any shadows, as those will show up as a different color and not 'green screen' properly. That also requires at least two lights, and then you'll have to positions yourself parallel or in front of the lights that are pointed at the wall.
So - four different planes - Wall, Wall Lights and Where you sit or stand, Desk or whatever your are in front of, then Key Lights (what we call the lights that highlight a position or object or person) and your camera.
_____ - wall
_____ - you and lights
_____ - desk
_____ - Camera and lights
