Should such a circumstance arise, always make sure to lay out exactly what you want your tutor's help with well before each lesson begins so that the two of you are entirely on the same page in this regard moving forward without fail. If there is a personality clash between you and your tutor, you can both try to find some middle ground and meet the other person halfway. If the tutor is moving too fast or too slow or giving you work that is too easy or too difficult for you to handle instructionally, then definitely inform the tutor in a polite and professional manner so that you don't feel rushed or stressed, nor fall behind throughout the learning process accordingly.
If need be, you can always cancel your future tutoring sessions with your current tutor and look for another tutor whom you feel might be a better fit for you and your needs on the whole. Just make sure to inform your tutor of your decision in a timely and professional manner and thank them for their professional support beforehand.
