asked 08/15/24Parent and child accounts
As a parent I have signed up for Wyzant, but the tutor needs are for my child so how does my child schedule tutor sessions. Do they need to set up an account?

Hi, Joseph!
I believe that is a logical question; however, as a tutor on Wyzant, I utilize the student information section provided within the platform to add notes and other significant information, particularly the student’s name as many student accounts are listed as their parent. I haven’t known that to be unusual, so I don’t think there should be any concern about adding a second account due to that. However, when communicating with the tutor, you may want to ask their opinion as the tutor may have specific reasons for asking that you all do so. Do remember, however, to mention that you would like them to add your child’s name for reference. I hope your experience here is positive and beneficial to your child’s needs!! Amber
