Multiplication Error

Question

My answer is 0.7142 but my professor says I am off by 1/2. I tried multiplying my answer by 1/2 but I was still wrong. How do I solve that?

Try multiply you answer by 2 to get 1.428. Sometimes being off by 1/2 is a matter of semantics, and they mean you should double your answer. It can be a trick question at times.
