The ideal gas law is pV/T= constant ... the pressure in either cylinder is equal to the other leaving V/T=constant.

The pistons of two identical cylinders are rigidly connected to each other. The cylinders contain the same amount of the same heated gas. Suppose that one cylinder is heated and the other is cooled. Find the relative change in volume of the gas for part a) and part b).
How do you solve a problem like that? Any effort is much appreciated.
