He is always very patient with my questions and is very very helpful . I highly recommend him, and I am very picky about tutors

Thank you Kate and I wish you well in your zoology studies. If you have a problem you wish help on, send it to me and I will return the solution for no charge usually in less than a day.

Stephen was great at explaining concepts thoroughly, was very patient, made sure I understood each step, and was overall an awesome tutor. He made me feel extremely comfortable and was very kind! Thank you so much Stephen, I look forward to getting help from you again!

Stephen helped me with work and energy problems which included springs for AP Physics. I needed help quick and he was able to video chat within half an hour of my request and knew exactly what to do for each problem all with a relatively low hourly rate. Highly recommended for AP Physics help.

Went over all the questions I had at a good pace. Explained everything really well and helped me understand how to do the problems.

I appreciated the time he took to make sure I understood the topics we discussed. Stephen is really good at helping the student conceptualize and visualize physics problems! His notes are very helpful.

Thanks Amanda, please remember to send me problems that you might be stuck on and I will return the solution for no charge!

Stephen is knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. He was very thorough and patient. I will definitely work with him again.

Thanks for your kind words Toby and don't forget, you can send me a question and I typically respond within the day at no charge.

Stephen is patient and answers questions thoroughly! I did not understand physics until he helped me conceptualize and apply physics to real life scenarios. He is a great tutor who is flexible and easy to contact as well. I would highly recommend him as a tutor and will continue to use him in the future!

Thanks for your kind words Paige and wish you the best in your medical training. Please contact me anytime and I'll make myself available!

he is an excellent tutor! He takes the time on every question to help me better understand the subject. He is also well mannered and polite. Thank you!

You're welcome Ahmad and remember, if you get stuck on something just send me a mail and I will return the solution. There is no charge for that kind of help

Knowledgeable of the subject matter and made a lot of sense. Clear and to the point of what's important to know.

Stephen has helped my son become a confident student in his math class. He has had the highest test grade twice. This is a huge improvement over his first attempt in the class. Stephen is easy to communicate with and very quick to respond to any messages.

Works well with keeping the flow of math lessons going, Stephen does a great job. Looking forward to more sessions working with my son.

Thanks Susan, feedback is always appreciated and Andrew is gaining confidence quickly. He can't believe that he is getting through that book!

My 17 year old describes Stephen as someone who makes sense of algebra 2. Stephen was very responsive to email requests and open to all our questions as parents. Mature professional and knowledgeable. We are very happy with his tutoring style and capabilities.

Thanks Vivian and Matthew, I appreciate your kind words. Don't forget, I will take questions sent to me by email and address them at no charge!

Mr. H is a great tutor. He is very knowledgeable in excel, respectful, and kind. He answered all my questions and gave me enough time to understand the process on how to resolve the problems I had with Excel. I highly recommend him.

Thanks for your kind response Amanda. Don't forget that I will address any email question promptly with no charge.

Thanks so much for the time you are spending tutoring my son and for being so accommodating to his schedule!

You're so welcome Lisa and I look for any opportunity to help out further. Don't forget that I will address any email question promptly with no charge.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I can be of help in this subject area creating example problems and showing methods to build understanding.

Subjects areas include solving polynomials for the roots; equations for lines, parabolas, hyperbolas, circles, etc. Help with understanding graphs and word problems.

Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, II, III are subject areas that I can help with. The understanding of Limits leading up to the definition of the derivative are critical to understand the basics of the Calculus. Later using derivatives to solve word problems including rates and some analytical geometry. Integral Calculus comes later using that to calculate areas and solve problems involving Newtonian physics. Calculus III involves multiple integrals and three dimensional vector calculus for those students pursuing Science and Engineering degrees.

This is a brief outline of the subjects that are encountered with Introduction to Chemistry. There are more but this should provide an idea of the type of help that can be provided.

Atomic number = Number of Protons

Mass number = Number of Protons + Neutrons

Atomic weight = grams per mole

Isotope = element w/neutrons different from average

Avagadro’s number = number of finite pieces / mole

Avagadro’s number = 6.02x1023

Atomic mass = weight in atomic mass units

1 proton = 1.0073 amu

1 neutron = 1.0082 amu

Molecular weight = sum of amu in a molecule

Formula weight = sum of grams / mole

Empirical formula = ratio of atoms in molecule

I studied Differential equations as both Math courses as well as analysis courses in Electrical Engineering. I am most familiar with LaPlace transform method of solving linear equations. There are a lot of "tricks" involved that mathematicians have devised over the years and it takes practice to use them. I can help you solve problems creating examples for later reference.

I hold a BSEE degree from University of Missouri and am a registered professional engineer in Missouri. I have worked as an Engineer and Engineering Manager and later as manufacturing and program manager roles for medical device companies. I can help you with active and passive circuit analysis problems using Node voltage & Mesh current methods as well as Ohm's and Kirchhoff's laws.

I am not an expert at the GRE exam. However I am skilled with mathematical subjects and writing and analysis. If you are searching for a collaborator in preparation for the GRE, I would be a good choice.

Microsoft Project ... I have used MSP for many professional projects over the years including factory relocations, new product introductions and capital improvement projects. I find it best used by starting out with the team to define the work elements gaining agreement on timing amount of work required. Project is very handy for keeping track of issues and communicating both to the next level of management and to the team members. It can be as simple or as complicated as desired. The Gantt and Pert chart options are nice too giving easy ways to determine critical paths for different options.

Physics is really a broad subject covering the laws of motion through the basic nature of matter. I am experienced and knowledgeable in:

Newtonian physics, the laws of motion defined originally by Isaac Newton including the 1st, 2nd and 3rd laws covering Ballistics, Statics, Dynamics, Impulse & Momentum and, Fluid mechanics.

Forces due to electric and magnetic fields including the work of Coulomb, Maxwell, Faraday and others. I am very familiar with electric circuits and the quantitative analysis associated with them.

I have spoken in front of many large groups in business covering subjects ranging from process improvement through quality improvement and business performance. I typically used a technique taught me that would developed originally for Sales representatives but it's application is much wider. Basically it begins with

1) a "Ho-hum" crasher or introductory line to gain or focus attention of the audience

2) a "Why bring that up" explanation further helps focus the group on the topic

3) a "Tell em" section delivers the details of the message

4) a "Tell em what you told em" section repeats the message but in a different way

5) a "Closing" summarizes the message and leaves the audience wanting more

I have knowledge of the following trigonometric functions: Sine, Cosine, Tangent, Cotangent, Secant, Cosecant. I also excel at geometric problem solving.
