The correct answer is c) am being sent:
"I am being sent to Africa on business."
Since the verb 'am' is written in the present tense, and 'sent' is written in the past tense, I am sent is therefore grammatically incorrect because the two verb tenses conflict.
Whereas 'being sent' is written in the present progressive tense, which refers to an action or process currently in motion, i.e. being sent to Africa on business. That also includes the present participle 'am' as a verb, which reflects the literary elements of option c) to a T!
