driving cars question

was travelling in a long line of cars and trucks. The how of traffic was about 60 km/h. The weather was sunny and the road was dry. All of a sudden, a vehicle cuts into the flow of traffic from a side street. I O was about 1 second behind the vehicle in front of me. However, the vehicle behind me rammed into me. Was this collision preventable?

This collision was not preventable by you, assuming that if you didn't stop you would hit the person in front of you, and that there were no other options for you except braking. If someone rear-ends you you are not responsible for the accident, they are.
