Sentence B is in the active voice. You may notice that in the other three sentences the subject is performing the action, whereas in sentence B the subject is acted upon by the verb. Writing in the active voice is usually more effective, but not always the preferred way. If you want to focus on the doer, use the passive voice. If your main focus is on the action itself, then go for the active voice.
