A declarative sentence is a sentence that does not ask a question. A declarative sentences also states a fact. In order to change the verb into an interrogative verb the verb will usually be placed at the beginning of the sentence. An example is, Will you go to the store? This sentence is a question that requires an answer which is typical for an interrogative sentence.
