Three beneficial ways lyrics in songs can influence our lives. * Is this a good topic?

I am looking for three arguments to support my topic/thesis with a blend of question of fact, question of value, and question of policy. And appeal to the audience with three argument levels: ethos, pathos, and logos.

The topic of music is fine. However, having a narrow focus on lyrics might make research difficult because that will require you to pick only one song and to find relevant studies. I would recommend focusing on the broad benefits of music in general.

You should also make sure you have a policy statement (what action do you expect to be taken based on your argument?)

Some policy ideas:

1) individuals taking music classes or learning a new instrument

2) investment in music programs in schools or communities

3) funding music therapy for mental health or Alzheimer's
