23 Years Experience Teaching Adult ESL and USCIS Interview Preparation
My advice is to start preparing as early as possible to prepare for the interview. If you wait until the last month, it may require more concentrated work and a more stressful environment for the students. My preference is to meet students no later than 2 months before the interview. In doing so, we can cover the interview process (from the waiting room to completion of the meeting), the 100 civics and history questions and their context, questions on the N400 which can be asked to "test" English comprehension and understanding of the application content, as well as reading and writing skills.
My aim is to help students understand the process and content, not just memorize answers. This helps them approach the interview with more confidence and less stress.
You can check the Wyzant website for details on my training and experience working with over 400 students preparing to become citizens, with a 95% success rate.
After a complimentary meeting to get to know each other, I plan lessons tailored to each student's needs and abilities. Contact me and let's set up a time when we can meet to discuss preparing for the interview with YOU in mind. (This meeting is complimentary, with no obligation on your part to continue.)
I look forward to meeting you!
