Any and no in Passive

Question

I had a task to make a passive sentence from His friends don't read any magazines. My version was: No magazines are read by his friends. My teacher' s version was: Any magazines aren't read by his friends. Which was correct?

In my opinion, you are. in fact, your teacher's version sounds very bizarre to me.

Hi Victoria,

Your sentence is correct since the word "No" implies "none", or "zero" accordingly. Whereas your teacher's sentence beginning with the word "Any" implies more than one, which is obviously quantitatively greater than zero.
