In the paragraph below-- Which words are prepositions? Which noun or pronoun is the object of the preposition?

Grammar (parts of speech.)

1.Underline the preposition 2. underline the noun or pronoun object of the preposition.

3, Enclose the phrases in parentheses.

Example: (At the beach) children build castles (in the sand) (near the water.)

Hint: someone said anywhere a cat can go is a preposition with some exceptions.

Sunrise At the Beach

My friend shouted, "Let's get to the beach. The sunrise is in forty minutes." We rushed to his car,

jumped in and drove. Soon we arrived and waited in silence. From the first moment that the sun's

disc appeared and broke the plane of the horizon; we gazed in wonder at the amazing sunrise!

Somehow, words failed to capture the wondrous beauty and magic of the sunrise. Afterward, the blue

skies and warm sunshine made a perfect day for our walk along the beach to find seashells. Over

and over, the squawking seagulls hovered and landed in the twinkle of an eye. By the water's edge

little sandpipers hopped and danced zigzag along the sand. Later on, between low tide and high

tide, diving into the crashing waves we swam above the waves and under the water .It was great fun!

The salty sea air acted like a tonic. By that time, we were hungry for pizza so we ate. Afterward, my

friend drove us home while the rest of us grabbed catnaps.

Still, I remember the amazing sunrise at the beach.

Note: In a sentence, a noun or pronoun object can't be the noun or pronoun subject and vice versa.
