After reading the text, you will write a supported opinion paragraph and apply a literary theory to the text. 

You will:

1. Take notes when reading the narrative (your notes should reflect the Elements of Cognitive Designs (ECD))
2. Consider the literary theories: Feminist, Gender, Marxist, Post-Colonialism, & Critical Race (no psychoanalytical for this piece of writing)
3. Write one supported opinion paragraph that includes: thesis statement (topic sentence), two PPAs (one ECD per PPA), and a concluding sentence.
