Geoscientist to help you in Earth and Environmental Science!
While I don't believe in simply giving you answers to multiple choice, I will describe each hazard and I hope the answer will be clear afterwards.
(1) and (5) Remember the key words in the question: eruption height and wind direction. What does this suggest about the nature of the hazard?
-Lahar: a mudflow comprised of pyroclastic (particles of igneous material) material, debris, and water. Typically due to the melting of snow and ice at the top of a volcano.
-Pyroclastic Flow: an erupted cloud of molten igneous material small and hot enough to be suspended in the air and ash that travels quickly.
-Lava flow: lava is molten rock on the surface of the Earth.
Other questions I'd be happy to answer in a call, this is a lot of material to go over in this format!
