Hi Christian,
The first sentence uses a colon after the word "to" when no punctuation is needed in that spot. You could also, depending on which style guide you're following, add a serial comma (also called an Oxford comma) after the word "time":
Corrected version: Alex made resolutions to listen better, be on time, and do all his assigned tasks in a timely manner.
The second sentence requires a semicolon after the first "you are" because the sentence contains two independent clauses. A clause is independent when it can stand as a sentence on its own. When deciding whether to use a semicolon, ask yourself whether the text on each side of the semicolon can be its own complete sentence
Corrected version: When in doubt, remember who you are; you are the sum of all that you have been, are, and will be.
