What other options are there for digital art besides Photoshop?

I want to edit photos and make digital art but I can't afford Photoshop! What other options are there?

If you're looking to edit photos specifically, I can agree Affinity Photo and and Gimp are great alternatives. Gimp is a free program and Affinity Photo is a one time purchase of $54.99 on Mac/PC and $21.99 on ipad. If you want something more catered to drawing, Krita is also a great free drawing application as well as Medibang and autodesk sketchbook are also free. Clip Studio Paint is a close second favorite of mine for drawing/ illustration however that is also a one time purchase. It often goes on sale but the normal price being $49.99 for the pro version and $219 for the EX version.

There is also Affinity Photo - which is a solid competitor to Photoshop and has all the similar features; photo editing and manipulation, digital painting, and other features. Affinity Photo is my go-to alternative to Adobe Photoshop.

The big competitor to Photoshop is Corel. There are many other programs such as Gimp and Microsoft has a small digital art program.
