How would using a mass on the end of a pendulum string 3 times longer impact results?

Another very confusing thing. I know that T² = 3L which is also T = √3L. that's where my understanding stops

:( I don't understand how it will impact my overall results ...

Sorry, but you were suppose to clarify your question. I am assuming that it is about the change in the period of the pendulum, if the string will be 3 times longer.

In this case the period of the pendulum T is proportional to the square root of the length of the pendulum, i.e.

T ∝ √ L

If the length of the string triples, then the period of the pendulum oscillations will be √ 3 times longer.
