The second answer is D: appeal to pity, or ad misericordium. It is an appeal to pity because the person is making excuses, hoping the teacher pities them and gives them more time.

The Third answer is C: hasty generalization. This is because there isn't enough proof in the statement showing that vegetables are healthy. Eating starchy vegetables is bad if you need fewer carbohydrates.
