Great question! So we have 3 bars total, right? 1 of those is free IF you purchase the 2. So 1/3 of the bars will be free. 1/3 turns out to be .3333333 repeating, so rounding to a percentage, there was a 33% discount.

This problem may be easier if you try some prices.

Assuming all the bars are the same price, let's try $1. 3 bars would normally be $3, but with the deal it would be $2. You saved 1 of the 3 dollars --> 1/3 = .3 repeating or about 33%

Let's say the bars were $5 each. The normal cost of 3 bars would be $15, but you're only paying for 2, so $10. You saved 5 of the 15 dollars --> 5/15 = .3 repeating or about 33%

Since the 3 is repeating, I say the discount is about 33%.
