So for a scatter plot, there actually is no independent or dependent variable. Scatter plots are used to determine correlation or relatedness between two variables, but the variables don't necessarily influence one another. So, it does not matter which variable you put on the X or Y axis. Hope this helps!

a scatter plot in general or for this question? I'm confused. There are independent and dependent variables for a scatter plot? We were taught that...and which ones are which for certain examples/scenarios.
