First off you need to know what the positive ions are.
The positive ions (in pH) are the Hydrogen Ions.
A very strong acid (pH = 1) has a Huge Concentration of Hydrogen Ions
Moving up the pH scale a weak base is one that is just a little past pH= 7 ( where 7 is neutral between acids and bases on pH scale)
And at the far end of the pH scale nearing 14 is a very strong base. The farther you move up the pH scale the less concentration of positive ions (the hydrogen ions) exist and the greater concentration of hydroxide ions ((OH) ions ) exist.
A strong base has a much smaller concentration of positive ions (hydrogen ions) and a much greater concentration of negative ions (hydroxide ions). The weak base has a much greater concentration of positive ions (hydrogen ions) and a much smaller concentration of negative ions ( hydroxide ions) = answer !!
