Yes. I think everyone has been judged by all of the things you delineated. We are people. We judge each other. I was judged by my gender and by being too young. Then I was judged by my marital status and being middle-aged. Now I am judged, perhaps, by my age... again... and by my race... or religion... or the fact that I do not judge whomever others judge. People judge people because we protect ourselves and because we want to appear better than others. But we are people. So we need to stop being silly and breathe... and just be kind.

Yes, I have been judged by my race and my age. As a white counselor in a predominantly black school, I found that some black adults refused to talk to me. My principal told me that would be the case with about 50% of her students' families. Secondly, when I was 58, a young teacher and co-worker asked me "Wouldn't it be great if older people like you retired and younger people could take your jobs?" I was so flabbergasted I didn't know how to answer. I continued to work full-time until age 63 and have had a tutoring business during the past 4 years.
