I would agree with your statement, and we see examples of this almost daily in the media. God forbid you chose the wrong Halloween costume, or made a joke that is now, a decade later, considered taboo. There's no accountability for being childish, making a mistake, or being taught wrong. Hollywood made several errors in judgement and now they even turn on their own for not being perfect all the time. How are we to grow and learn or even be compassionate to one another when there's no room for error or imperfection. I feel so sorry for children these days who are at the mercy of the social media. Oprah Winfrey famously said, "When you know better, you do better" it was a motto to live by, because no one deserves to be punished forever without redemption, just because it was caught on camera and shared on the web.
