I am a sophomore Hopkins student and enjoy teaching math.
With a histogram, this type of graph displays the overall distribution (shape, spread, skewness, etc.) of the data while each individual bar represents the frequency of a given data range. Usually, the histogram has an outline of its general shape and this serves to make the data more cohesive. One would generally draw a straight line down the histogram at the numbers indicating the mean, median, and mode with the corresponding name and number written above said line. Also based on your numbers, I'd guess that the graph is left-skewed (little tail on the left of the histogram) and likely unimodal (one hump), but more information would be needed. I can't show a picture on here but I hope this was descriptive enough.
