electricity = moving, charged particles, which are usually ions or electrons.
Ionic compounds consist of a metal cation (+) and nonmetal anion (-).
A. KOH(aq), this is a strong base, it ionizes 100% into K+ and OH-. This conducts electricity, and is a strong electrolyte.
B. HBr(aq). This is a strong acid, it ionizes 100% into H+ and Br-. This conducts electricity, and is a strong electrolyte.
C. CsI(aq) This is a soluble salt (all Cs+ compounds are soluble in water). It ionizes 100% into Cs+ and I-. This conducts electricity and is a strong electrolyte.
D. This is a molecular compound, made of only nonmetals. It is not made of ions. When it dissolves, it's just water and sugar. Therefore, it does not conduct electricity.
