Hi! Here's how I would organize a story with required vocabulary like this:
- Divide the words into different sections to make it easier to use multiple in the same sentence. For example, I could merge the words {sunlight, agree, lift, ocean, deserve, maintain, sparkle, warm, breeze, music, heart} to start off the story with something like this: Julia let her hair sway in the breeze as she opened the taxi door. The airport was busy and the warm rays of morning sunlight bore down on her, agreeable compared to the colder climate she had flown in from. Although her supervisor had maintained that she deserved this time off, Julia's heart felt heavy with corporate guilt, eased only by the sparkle of the ocean visible even from the airport parking lot. The taxi driver lifted the last of her suitcases and let it fall haphazardly into the trunk before beckoning her inside the car, from which emanated the sound of guitar music and the artificially tropical scent of an air freshener.
- From here, I would do the same with a different set of words and connections them through a plot line, repeating that until the given words run out. I would start with the more optimistic arrival, then perhaps segue into a combination of {clumsy, coffee, tea, negotiate, integrate, voiceless, struggle, tiptoe, inner reality} for a coffeeshop scene in which she questions some aspects of her travels or career, and then into {creepy, freak, rusty, cheat} for an escalation of conflict. Perhaps she gets lost on her way back from the coffeeshop and it leads to a recollection of past events.
- Finally, I'd end with a more hopeful scene using the remaining words {whispering, rare, stars, book}, maybe to describe her aspirations. Perhaps she has a dream of becoming a writer, using this time off to get some time to write.
- At this point, however, you would have hopefully used most of the words needed. Don't be afraid to make either the beginning or the end a little heavier with the mandatory vocabulary! That opens up more space to write with words and plot points that aren't required.
Hope this answer helps!
