Combinations Question

  1. a) A drama club is putting on two plays. There are 11 actors in the Oz play and 7 in the

Grease play.


b) Use a Venn diagram to calculate how many students are only in one of the two plays.


Please explain for each scenario, I don't understand.

There is some information missing if we want to fully describe all the students in drama club. We need to know either the number in both productions or the total in drama club along with some info like, "all stuents are in at least one play". Can you find something like that?
