Oh, I love this, it sounds like so much fun! If you were tutoring with me, I would suggest we make a organizational chart. Draw two columns, one side titled Shakespeare and the other column titled Hip Hop. Just start with writing all the facts you know about Shakespeare and the facts you know about hip hop in either column. Do any of these facts start to match up or are similar to each other?
The assignment is even giving you a hint! In each column, write down each's education level. Then write down you're evaluation of their artistic value.
Who is the keeper of the knowledge in your opinion? Did they deserve that title or control over knowledge? What do they think about Shakespeare? What do they think about hip hop?
I might even push you to go further, if you'd like, and really have a conversation of what "knowledge" is and who is the authority on who is smart, brilliant or talented? I think that's next level though and you can finish the assignment with just that two column idea, and then writing those conclusions into an essay or whatever the assignment dictates.
