Step 4: Conducting research – Find two articles, preferably in The New York Times, about how a person and/or group of people have been adversely (negatively) affected by pursuing this cultural myth. For each article: Summarize it and provide two or three examples to support its thesis.

Hello, Anjela,

There are plenty of cultural myths to choose from. I'd pick the number 13, myself. In particular, Friday the 13th. Why? Who came up with this idea and why? Should I be nervous that although my hotel room is on the 14th floor, that I discover there is no 13th floor? The elevator goes from floors 12 to 14, and I can count 12 floors below me. Should I move?
