In function notation, f(6) means you would evaluate the function for the input value "6"
f(6) = 2(6) - 1 (substitute "6" for "x" and solve)
f(6) = 11 (for the input of "6" the output of the function is "11")

If solving for F(6) (with a capital F), you would find the integral of your function first, then substitute in "6" for x.
f(x) = 2x - 1
Integral of f(x) = F(x) = x2 - x + C (where C is some constant)
Therefore,
F(6) = (6)2 - (6) +C = 36 - 6 + C (substitute "6" in for "x")
F(6) = 30 + C

Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
f(6) = 2(6)-1 = 11
F(6)= ?
IF F(x) means the integral of f(x) which seems likely, then
F(x) = integral of 2x -1 = x^2 -x +c
F(6) = 36 -6 + c = 30 + c, where c is an unknown constant
F(6) = 30+c

I am lost, the problem literally reads this and only this. f(6) if f(x) = 2x -1 So what exactly would I write for the answer?03/30/21
