Two examples where causation was attributed to a scenario or situation when it was in no way warranted. What could have been other possible causes for the event or situation?

Are you supposed to find two examples from the news or history?? If not, think of two unrelated events. Claim that one was the cause of the other. For instance: 1) I brushed my teeth last night. 2) My dog died this morning. I claim that the fact that I brushed my teeth CAUSED my dog to die.
