Shakespeare definitely brings up redemption in many of the plays and sonnets! Before you can create your thesis statement, you need to decide if you agree with the questions they asked you. Did Scotland get revenge, if so then how? Did Macbeth successfully redeem himself by the end of the play, if so then how? You can also consider if other characters did as well (Lady Macbeth in particular). Once you know what side you land on, you'll be better able to craft a thesis statement, and if you want to supports the claims ("yes" to the questions they asked) or reject them and support your argument ("no" to the questions).

asked 03/05/21I need a thesis statement
I have to write an essay. We were given the following to write it on, "Redemption is an important Shakespearean theme. Consider Macbeth's crime and the consequences. Did Scotland get revenge? Did Macbeth redeem himself at all?". Now I am having difficulties coming up with a thesis statement.
