Educational Skill Enhancer in English Writing Reading 6-12 an Adult
In the story, The Body in the Woods by April Henry, several of the character traits are revealed through both the events and dialogue. For example, the character Alexis Frost is concerned about her mother, who struggles with bipolar disorder. Her internal dialogue and reactions show that she often has to act like the adult in their relationship which adds emotional weight to her character early in the story. Each character's background is unique and shapes how they respond to finding the body. This sets the stage for the unfolding investigation and sets the stage for their development within the entirety of the story line.
