Give an example (an application) where reasoning with others would and would not work or is perhaps not necessary or helpful.

You are to give an example (an application) where reasoning with others would and would not work or is perhaps not necessary or helpful. You can certainly draw on current events for your discussion. A case in point might be the debate about whether or not shelter-in-place restrictions should be eased, even before the infection rate has flat-lined. Think about the protests that occurred over the last weekend. This is just one example. Another one, related to the 84 Lumber video from last week, is that President Trump stated today that he will restrict all immigration to the United States due to COVID-19. A bit late and a dollar short, but hey, there it is! You are also more than welcome to use examples from the past.
