You have to have a point you want to prove, and 3 statements that back this up which will be in supporting paragraphs. The introduction should state your point and the 3 statements that you will use to support this. Then, you go into detail on each one. Finally, you write a conclusion paragraph that summarizes your essay and asserts your point and your 3 statements.

Hello,
Thank you for posting on Wyzant. I am a certified English teacher and would be happy to help.
There are several ways to write an essay, but one of the most common format is MLA:
- Title: name your writing
- Introduction: introduce what you are going to talk about without giving facts
- Body Paragraph 1: talk about your subject with facts in a positive way
- Body Paragraph 2: talk about your subject with facts in a negative way
- Body Paragraph 3: talk about your subject again in a positive way overpowering the negative facts
- Conclusion: talk about your final thoughts and leave something for the reader to remember
It takes skill to write a good essay. I would appreciate if you would let me teach you these writing skills in a lesson. I can also help you feel more confident about yourself and overcome anxiety. If you are interested, please don't be afraid to contact me.
I wish you good luck.
Respectfully,
Niki
