Hi Calli,
First, find someone in society that has been cast aside, ignored, not wanted. Get in touch with how it must feel to be neglected, not cared about, discarded. Jot down some words that show those feelings. Then, use words, phrases, objects that resemble those feelings. Perhaps take a walk and look for things that you can see that remind you of someone that the society has "thrown out." Write those things down. When you write your poem, look at the format of miss rosie. The only words that are capitalized are the words that represent how Rosie used to be before she lost her footing in the world. Use images that will allow the reader to feel and understand what it is like to be discarded. You are basically painting a picture with words that evoke feelings.
I hope that helps,
Thank you,
